I moved to Portland from Florida this past fall. The lack of sunshine was a severe change for my body. I suspect it was made worse since I am originally from Ecuador, the closest spot to the sun. I was able to get better after a winter break vacation to Florida and a strong resolve to better my habits for a healthier life. This is great a infographic, thank you. I will make sure to pass it along to others in my situation!
If you live somewhere like Canada there is nowhere within your nation’s boundaries to relocate. This is a much more feasible option for an American; one can relocate from their home town of Seattle and move to San Diego or Phoenix for example.

At 62, I’ve at least grown to know, in my HEALTHIER mind, that I will come out of the Seasonal depressions I have experienced for 15 years…. During that time, I’m pelted with dark thoughts, loss of taste, perceiving bad smells, along with unrelenting depression.
I’m amazed at how physiologically I’m attacked, and I EXIST on Ensure shakes to replace the food I’ve lost taste for.

use a light box, take Vitamin D and get moderate exercise, and your tips make me at least feel closer to being as pro-active as possible during the despair of this time.
